Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Movie Review

Come, laugh and fall in love again!

As the title goes movie is a mind-bending love story set in Chandigarh.

Manu (Aayushmann Khurrana) a fitness freak and gymn owner falls head over heels with Maanvi (Vaani Kapoor), a Zumba teacher in his gymn. Everything seems to be going hunky dory and fine between the two until a hidden secret about identity causes a turmoil in their love story.

Will their love story continue to bloom after this revelation? For this and more watch the movie.

Story is fast-paced and highly entertaining.
Director Abhishek Kapoor shows a lot of maturity, sensitivity and restraint in dealing with a bold subject.

Screenplay by Tushar Paranjape and Supratik Sen is easy flowing. Dialogues are filled with humour.

Chemistry between the two lead actors is attractive and both complement each other.

Aayushmann gives an earnest performance. Vaani Kapoor steals the show with her performance and dialogues. Brothers Gautam and Gourav Sharma (Manu's friends) are comical. Manu's sisters played by Tanya Abrol and Sawan Rupowali are typical  nose poking sisters.  Others like Kanwaljit Singh, Aanjjan Srivastav and Girish Dhamija (Manu's father) lend support with their performances.

Movie has peppy and party songs like Tumbe Pe Zumba and Kheench Te Naach and a slow melodious song like Maafi among others. Music is by Sachin-Jigar.

Movie breaks the cliches with its refreshing story and social message.

Now playing in a theatre near you. Coming soon to Netflix.

**** stars.
