NH10 movie review

NH10 movie is a little dark and scary film.

Both Meera and Arjun are a happily married couple. Meera played by Anushka Sharma goes into a shock after her car glass is broken by the goons. She tries to get back to normal from this incident. Arjun played by Neil Bhooplam and Meera plan a weekend trip outside Delhi to celebrate Meera's b'day. But little do they know that what is going to happen next.

During their trip on National Highway 10 they see a girl who is being beaten along with her boyfriend by her brother Satpal played by Darshan Kumar(last seen in Mary Kom biopic) and his goons. Arjun decides to do something to save her but is unable to do something. Both the girl and her lover are poisoned and killed by Satpal and hsi goons. Both Arjun and Meera are caught up in this mess in such a way that they try to escape from the goons after having witnessed the murder, This is what happens in the first half of the movie.

In the second half the movie moves at a pace and reaches a great climax keeping viewers at the edge of the seat.

Will both Arjun and Meera be able to escape successfuly from the goons? Will they be able to report to the police about what they saw? Will both of them survive?

Of the performances Anushka Sharma packs a punch as the fiesty Meera and gives her best performance till date. Neil Bhooplam in his brief role does a good job. Satpal also performs his part well. Ammaji played by the wonderful yesteryear's actress Deepti Naval also performs her part well. The other supporting actors also play their part well.

The music of the movie is melodious and the background music is also good.

Overall NH10 produced by Anushka Sharma and others is a thoroughly engaging thriller with Navdeep Singh director of the movie at its helm. The movie which talks about honour killing is for the class audiences and may not appeal to the mass audience. This movie will surely find its takers and based on its content will emerge a winner.

Badlapur Review

Badlapur is a revenge saga of a common man who after the death of his son and wife is all out to seek revenge from the culprits.

The movie plot starts with a bank robbery taking place and both Raghu's son and wife Misha (Yami Gautam) who are out shopping are kidnapped and murdered on the way by the robbers played by Liak( Nawazuddin Siddique) and Harman(Vinay Pathak). Liak is arrested and sent to jail for 20 years for bank robbery and his crime in partner Harman disappears.

Raghu(Varun Dhawan) after seeing both his son and wife dead is shocked and broken.

The movie moves forward and offers some unexpected twists and turns in the first half and second half as well. It keeps you right on the edge of the seat from starting to the end.

Of the performances Nawazuddin does a good job as Liak and offers some hilarious moments in the movie. Varun Dhawan at such a young age has taken a matured role and displays a wonderful talent of his performance. He is the actor to watch out for.

Huma Qureshi does a wonderful job as a prostitute Jhimli who is also Liaq's girlfriend and oozes the oomph.

Other actors Vinay Patak, Yami Gautam, Radhika Apte and others also do their supporting part well.

The music of the movie is melodious and the background score is also good.

Overall it can be said that Badlapur is an edge of the seat thriller and offers enough entertainment. It is a movie not be missed for movie lovers of this genre Shriram Raghavan does a wonderful job as a director and is back.

My rating for this movie is
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ugly Hindi Movie Review

Ugly directed by Anurag Kashyap is a dark movie. Its a story of a girl who gets kidnapped from her estranged father's car under mysterious circumstances and how the police set out the search for the girl. Both the suspects under interrogation deceive the police in their search as they want to earn money. What happens after this is a mystery and for that you will have to watch the movie. Whether the police will find the culprits? Whether they will find the girl?

Of the cast the standout performances are Ronit Roy(who plays the cop), Vineet Kumar singh(the film producer) and Rahul Bhat( who plays the estranged father) making a comeback after a long hiatus. The other actors also play their supporting roles well.

The movie screenplay and background music is also good.

At 127 mins it is well shot and crafted by the director Anurag Kashyap.

So overall it can be said that Ugly is a gripping and edge of the seat thriller and is said to be Anurag's finest work till date.
